About Us
Connecting Downriver. Supporting Local.
My Downriver Connection was created with a simple goal: make it easier for people in the Downriver community to discover great local businesses, services, events, and special offers—all in one place.
Discover What’s Local.
Whether you’re looking for a restaurant for dinner, a trusted home service, somewhere to shop, an upcoming event, or simply something new to explore, we want to make finding local options easy.
Our directory brings together businesses throughout the Downriver area so residents can quickly discover what’s available right here in our community.
Why Local Matters
When we choose local, more of our dollars stay within the community. We support local business owners and their employees. We help create jobs. We strengthen our neighborhoods. And we help the businesses that make Downriver unique continue to grow.
Sometimes something as simple as choosing a local restaurant, shop, contractor, salon, or service provider can make a real difference.
Built for Downriver
My Downriver Connection is about more than creating another business directory.
We want to create a useful community resource—a place where Downriver residents can discover local businesses, find events, explore special offers, and stay connected with what’s happening nearby. And as the site grows, we hope it becomes an even better way for local businesses and local residents to find one another.

Downriver has a lot to offer. Our goal is simply to make it easier to find.
